I ordered GoDaddy SmartSpace today for a new website I'm starting http://www.profitnplay.com/
So far SmartSpace isn't as user friendly as I thought it would be, the setup was quick but the configuration is clumsy... usable but clumsy.
also note that there community section is single user and uses flash.
I've only looked at it for a short time and could be missing something. I still some evaluating but will know more over the next couple of days.
1 Day look... likes and dislikes
the quick and dirty like list
- SocialSpace's web parts use absolute positioning instead of snap to container, allowing free movement and resize of web parts. interesting idea...
the quick dislike list
- the use too many pop ups
- SocialSpace uses flash
- no user registration
- the admin isn't directly on the page as with many start pages
So far I'm very disappointed and will most like drop SocialSpace in about a week. The ads made it sound great "go marking" but the app so far falls short but I'll keep at it just in case there's something hidden that I love.
I'll write more once I have a better under standing of what GoDaddy is offering.
